Methodology

How We Test

At Commerce Verified, we review ecommerce software through practical merchant scenarios.

When possible, we install the app, review the setup process, test the dashboard, evaluate core workflows, compare pricing, and assess how useful the tool would be for a real online store.

We do not believe feature count is the best way to judge software. A tool with fewer features can be better if it is easier to use, improves the customer experience, and solves a real business problem.

Our reviews focus on seven main criteria:

  1. Setup experience
  2. Ease of use
  3. Business impact
  4. Customer experience
  5. Feature quality
  6. Pricing value
  7. Scalability

We also include limitations and alternatives whenever possible. No tool is perfect for every store, and our goal is to help merchants choose the best fit for their situation.
